Employees don't need ping pong tables or beer fridges at work. 🙅♂️🙅♀️
Employees need flexibility to do their best work and enjoy life. For instance, working remotely. 🙋♂️🙋♀️
Please offer trust, not toys. 🙌
Back in 2011, I was working at Google.
Many of my colleagues commuted for 1.5 hours each way San Francisco <> Mountain View.
Sure, Google main campus had all the toys: Bean bags, fully stocked fridges, nerf guns... Yet, I was yearning for trust:
C'mon, commuting 3 hours a day sounded crazy to me!
Remote work felt like the best option. I wanted the flexibility to organize myself however I wanted.
